Luckily got Seiryu's doggo today in only just a few runs thanks to @ff14vamir @s-udarshana Sokhatai, Dawn, Saint, Nico, and Agato!

Seiryu doggo obtained, after a night where 3 Shinryu doggos dropped the night before and I did not win any. The game decided to let me have this first one that dropped with a 98.

Doggo grind complete! That final run for the Seiryu mount was memorable, taking a bunch of JP newbies through the fight, struggling to explain mechanics using Auto Translate and broken, Google Translate enhanced Japanese.

Almost done with the WAR 500 run tank mount too, so it’s time to switch to DRK and very slowly grind out the Shadowbringers mounts

Primals? Primals. Primals!

Hey guys!

This is more a gauging interest than anything, but with it still being a couple of months until Shadowbringers, I wanted to ask: would anybody be down to go to Suzaku and/or Seiryu for weapons (and doggos if you want them)? 

I want weapons from both still (and Tsukuyomi sob), but I’d also prefer gathering up folks for a chill time than diving into Partyfinder.

This wouldn’t be happening until closer to the end of April (I’ve got stuff occupying the next two weekends), but if you’re keen to go give me a holler.

I’m ok with taking folks who haven’t gone before. I’m ok with doubling up on classes. I will ask that if you’re new to it to do a bit of studying up rather than going in blind though. I’ve found that as a teacher I don’t keep track of all the mechanics’ names and how they function/how they differ from Normal vs. EX very well; I regularly mix them up. So watch some vids at the very least.

By the combined powers of all the primal doggos I got the ultimate doggo: Kamuy of the Nine Tails.  I feel so proud of myself for getting all of the primal mounts during the same expansion they came out on.  In the past I would get primal mounts via unsynced farming.

Now to continue farming Seiryu for weapons and to look forward to see what kind of new primal mounts will come out in Shadowbringers!

Early Birthday Wishlist

While my Birthday (As well as Jacques’) isn’t until October 5th (5th Sun, 5th Umbral Moon) I wanted to simply compile a list of things that I would adore to get in FFXIV if anyone is generous enough to help out. Honestly I’m not expecting anything but I figured a list of things would be helpful for anyone who might want to throw stuff at the currently insane and broken dergin.

Since this is terrifying to post, I’ll keep most of it under a keep reading. I am always scared to just post things like this (Wishlists, asking for help, etc.) because I always feel like I’m asking too much or I’m being greedy ;v;

Auspicious doggo!

Finally won this pupper the other night; now I just need the legendary, lunar, and euphonious doggos (and whatever the Seiryu doggo will be)! Just as soon as I finally manage to find a group to clear Shinryu, Tsukuyomi, and Suzaku EX with... *sigh*

We’ve had a couple busy weeks with some of our new members jumping right in and running events. We’ve added 4 more Kirin mounts to the FC’s Infantry! Grats to Leiala, Faux, Jaja and Myyah on the ponies!

Our Sunday events have been going well, Byakko put out a few doggos one afternoon for Zaph, Low and Zeus; and we finally have Shinryu on farm with just about everyone, he’s just been very stingy. With such great attendance recently we’ve been running 1.5-2 teams farming dogs and ponies/birds at the same time; we have another 3-5 Firebirds in progress.

Outside of our weekly Wednesday 24man Ridorana runs, our regular map runs, and our Sunday events, we've had some groups running Seiryu and I managed to grab the last doggo needed for the Kamuy of the Nine Tails (but it only has 7!?) mount. Also grats to Tatsh and Jaja on grabbing a scale for the sic barding. Not long ago we made our first officer promotion to someone who has been incredibly valuable to us as an FC and to many members outside of FC events. He’s been tanking for us for about a year now and from tanking events, helping with roulettes, and our many Tsuki/Suzaku/Seiryu runs over the last few patches, earned both lions and now both panthers. A huge thank you and congrats goes out to Drodo Bladesmith on his 6th and final Tank Mount! (at least until 5.0. Yall see Gunbreaker? Tiiiiiight)

Spent....6? Hours? Farming StB doggos today to get the 5 more that I needed

It took nearly 40 runs to get the seiryu dog alone 😭 like...why my god I got 3 of the scales in that time too. Almost 30 runs for the byakko dog. At least byakko was easy bc you could skip most of the fight if you had enough people/dps

But I have the nine tails mount...finally...
